The ability of space plasmas to self-regulate through mechanisms involving self-generated fluctuations is a topic high interest. This paper presents the results new advanced quasilinear (QL) approach for instability electromagnetic ion-cyclotron modes driven by relative alpha-proton drift observed in solar wind. For an extended parametric analysis, present QL includes also effects intrinsic anisotropic temperatures these populations. enhanced contribute exchange energy between proton and alpha particles, leading important variations anisotropies, proton-alpha temperature contrast. presented here can help understand observational data, particular, those revealing local associated with properties protons particles as well spatial profiles expanding
